John P. Peterson graduated from South Dakota State University with honors in 1986. He received his law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1989. John worked as a judicial law clerk for the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court in South Dakota. In 1991 he began working with the Johnson Eklund Law Firm in Gregory, South Dakota, and moved his office to Sioux Falls in 1997. John's practice is devoted to many areas of litigation including plaintiff's personal injury, criminal defense, DUI/DWI, business, and estate litigation. John has a wide range of courtroom experience and legal knowledge, and is a member of the Second Circuit Bar Association, the South Dakota Bar Association and The South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association. John and his wife, Leah, have four children.
